WSP 211 Springtime in WI

from by Jonathan Burks

lyrics

got my guit-box slung up on my shoulder
and a bottle of wine in a paper bag strolling
to the park gonna let my heart feast
on all the brown things turning green all around me

I'm looking good and I'm feeling even better
sandals is my boots and the sun is my sweater
it's springtime in WI hallelujah amen

in the midwest we undress when trees put on flesh
when birds and bees sweeten the nest with bits of nourishment
it's encouraging, self esteem flourishing
shameless flirting with the practically shirtless

you're looking good baby I want to get to know you better
and if it gets breezy I wanna be your sweater
it's springtime in WI hallelujah amen

feeling easy like Sunday morning
sunshine or thunder storming

winter's gone and summers on it's way
and then comes fall my favorite season of them all
I'm making my way thru the moment today
taking in this springalicous Wisconsin day

I'm looking good and I'm feeling even better
sandals is my boots and the sun is my sweater
it's springtime in WI hallelujah amen

about

Jonathan Burks Milwaukee, Wisconsin

"When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro"

here's some pro tips:

1) Keep a scream journal. Scream into a camera or microphone at least once a day. Any word or sound will work. "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK" seems to work for me.

2) Dance for 5 minutes daily. Dance on the way to the bathroom or kitchen. Dance as ugly as you can.

3) Make funny faces. Sit in front of a mirror and get strange.
